The entire work process of a used clothing plant can be divided into four categories, which are sorting, grading, packing and dispatch. These processes are concisely explained hereunder:

1. Sorting

We obtain mixed rags from all over the country, which is, in fact, unsorted used clothing. These clothes are then placed on the conveyor belts along with sorters on both sides who have been given instructions to pick up a pre-assigned piece of clothing. This process leads to basic separation of the mixed rags into 17 different items namely shirts, pants, skirts, miniskirts etc. These items are passed on to the next level of the process and that is grading.

2. Grading

The grading department of the plant is split into the same number of sections as done in the first level of the process. Generally, it is 17 but it can differ. The focus of this segment is that there are containers positioned at each section as per the number of different categories that specific item has to be made into. For instance - a t-shirts section will have containers positioned for Round neck T-shirt, Ladies T-shirt, Children T-shirt, Collar T-shirt, White Printed T-shirt, White T-shirt etc. Once the container for a specific section is completely full, it is then sent to the next level for the second round of inspection and final packaging.

3. Packaging

Once the items come from the grading section, they undergo a final inspection and then the label is placed on them after which they are sent to the bailing machines for compressed packaging. Usually, the bales are pressed into standardised 45kg bales; however, it can differ as per the customer demands. After the packaging is finished, the bales of a specific customer are piled together, which is ready for dispatch.

4. Dispatch

In the used clothing process, this is the final level. The packaged bales are dispatched to their particular destinations in high cube containers measuring 40 feet or 20 feet. The customer can directly choose these containers; otherwise, they are normally booked through our forwarding agent. The containers are clean and inspected strictly for any leaks before they are filled with the items. We have 100% in-house factory stuffing and the container only departs our premises after it is checked and sealed appropriately
